Ólafur Þórðarson (b. Reykjavík, 1963) is an architect and multimedia artist. Currently he has work on view at the Designmueso in Helsinki, the Icelandic Design Museum and the Design Museum in Copenhagen.

Þórðarson’s works are part of museum- and private collections in the U.S. and Europe. He has put up 9 solo exhibitions and participated in over 80 art and design exhibitions in 19 countries.

He received awards in urban design and sculpture.

Has three books out on his works.

Worked as a right-hand w/Gaetano Pesce for seven years.

Ólafur Þórðarson taught at the Rhode Island School of Design. He has been a guest critic in many Universities, in Architecture-Urban Design- and Industrial Design departments. He received his Master of Architecture Degree at Columbia University. After graduation he received his arkitekt-certification in Iceland. For many years he was a member of the Icelandic Architect's Association, through which he submitted 10 architecture- and urban design projects. Full member of the Icelandic Artists Association and was in an artists residency at Skaftfell, Iceland.
