Door Studio

Erina Oikawa focused on numerous formal concepts on many themes. Through intricate models she looked at collapsible mechanisms, doors that fold into awnings and ones propelled by water and weight mechanisms. She was particularly interested in how a door can create a space on the threshold and what it meant to occupy it.
